Outfitter 85 by Portage North

The Outfitter 85 is built with all the features to make portaging as comfortable as possible. Though it is only 5 liters smaller than the Outfitter 90, it is 10 inches narrower lending to a pack that is tailor-made to long portages. A narrower pack body is closer to the dimensions of a person’s torso which is better for portaging than a standard portage pack. The design of the Outfitter 85 makes up for the loss of volume with extra deep gussets. With padded shoulder straps, a padded back, and a multi-adjustable waist belt, our Outfitter class of packs are designed to conform to the person carrying them. The adjustable side gussets and extension sleeve allows for the pack to be compressed to the size of the load and the size of the group. The Outfitter 85 is also equipped with the same d-rings as our food packs to allow for safe and secure anchoring points for raising this pack as a bear bag.
