I found this book a few weeks ago at a local Goodwill store. It is a great read!
The author, Andrew Rogness, is a pastor in Madison, Wisconsin. He grew up in northern Minnesota, where he was a guide in the BWCAW.
While on a four-day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters, he wrestles with his vocation, his relationship to his family, his feelings about aging, his feelings about what it means to be a man, and his experience of God. This true story tells of his spiritual and physical journey toward new insight and vision for life. It shows us all a way to reflect on our own spiritual journey, gain self-understanding, and discover a closer connection to creation and the Creator.
This is a paperback and has text on 129 pages.
***I am willing to lend this book to you. And then, in turn, you send it to the next interested person - and so-on and so-on.
I am going to place inside the front cover a tracking sheet so we can all follow where the book has been.
Whomever replies first...I will send it to you on Monday, February 22nd.
Please be a United States address.

JWilder - I sent you an email.
BTW: I found the book to be a good, but not incredibly powerful, read. Identified often with his insight regarding the big and little things found in the wild. Fun to follow his route. Writing style sometimes a little dry. A good bedtime read.

Mocha,
I have finished the book and sent you an email.
My thoughts?
Ah yes, the never ending battle against self. If we are honest with ourselves, most of our troubles come from within us. We tend to fall into the pattern of pointing the finger and blaming others. Only when we evaluate our own thoughts, words and actions do we come to a knowledge of the truth.
No where does God promise us an easy life here on earth. But what He does promise is eternal life through faith in His Son.
Yes, an easy, thought provoking read.

deerfoot: "I have finished the book. I don’t see anyone up next, so I will hold the book in case someone wants it. Or I can return it to Boppasteveg, let me know."
I would be interested in reading this. I will email you with my address.

I apologize for my delay in getting back to you. I have borrowed it to some family members, they are almost finished with it, and I will get it in the mail back to you as soon as I am able. It was a fantastic read, thank you for sharing it with me.
