Entry Point 51 - Missing Link Lake

Missing Link Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 45 miles. Access is a canoe landing at Round Lake with a 142-rod portage to Missing Link Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

First off I will just give you our path. Started at Rockwood Outfitters on Poplar Lake, portage to Lizz, Portage to Caribou, Portage to Horseshoe, Portage to Gaskin, Camp, Sleep, Portage to Horseshoe, Portage to Vista, Portage to Jake, Portage to Vista, Portage to Horseshoe, Portage to Gaskin, Eat, Sleep, Portage to Henson, Portage to Omega, Portage to Henson, Portage to Gaskin, Eat, Sleep, Portage to Horseshoe, Portage to Caribou, Portage to Lizz, Portage to Poplar, Land at Rockwood and Say goodbye to Lin, Mike and Pat.

Many nice swims in Gaskin, Moose on Henson, Omega is breathtaking, Creek coming out of Vista is nice photo op, weather was awesome, one northern, campsite on Gaskin had beautiful views, great conversation, good eating thanks to Mountain House, saw zero people for 48 hours, great exercise and extremely good for the psyche.
