Yes, I remember the rain that started around 1 on Tuesday. We had slept in late from a long day the previous coming in. Didn't have our tarp up yet so we passed the time in the tent. We had talked about who we thought had won Stanley Cup on several occasions. Funny thing, before we asked about it after we were out we were already out of Grand Marais on the drive back to Illinois. I TOTALLY agree about Cherry being a looker. We left Cherry a few days before you visited. Spent 3 glorious nights camped at the narrows site. That whole area near Ester/Cherry is very scenic. Also can relate to "your team" winning it all while in the BWCAW. I'm a lifelong Lakers fan, and was on Disappointment for game 7. |
